Dear Everyone,

We have created express entry profile with my wife as primary applicant and myself secondary and overall score of 468.

My question is regarding proof of fund documents.

We have a joint fixed deposit of 10 lac INR, the fixed deposit receipt of which includes my wife's name and my name.

1. Can someone provide us confirmation if we should include both our names in the letter request to bank?
2. Is it possible to get a sample bank letter format considering above facts?

1. If the bank FD is on joint name then bank will anyway provide you letter with both name mentioned on it. It is clearly mentioned in the POF requirement Document that you can show funds in primary applicant account or in the account of accompanying spouse account and you just attach a letter of consent from the secondary applicant stating that the primary applicant will have full access to the funds for the requirement of settlement post PR.

2. Banks have their own format to mention the details. Just ensure they add the date of account opening and in your case what is the amount deposited, date of deposit and what will be the final consideration on the maturity of the FD.
