Thinking of traveling a month before summer break

travelling a month before summer break will it cause problems with the school? We want to leave around the end of may with a grade 3 kid and a kindergarten.

Any suggestions?

They would miss school that's it.
You could talk to the school and get class / home work.
Some schools would insist on enrolling the student again for long absences. Some are okay if we give a written statement and do not need to re enroll them again .
