Hello everyone,

Is it a requirement to take IELTS in other to get a study permit? when I applied to the College I had to take TOEFL. I came across this question while filling out the application

Have you taken a test from a designated testing agency to assess your proficiency in English or French?

Is TOEFL considered a Designated Language Testing Agency?

If you are applying for Canada then Yes you need to take IELTS Test because no college takes TOEFL into consideration.

Thank you for your quick answer. The College I applied to accepted TOEFL and I actually got an acceptance letter. I have been officially accepted for the Fall intake.

Are you saying immigration will require a second English Proficiency Test? IELTS?

This i exactly dont know but some older posts say that you can submit TOEFL score but to be on the safe side you can contact any consultancy and inquiry them about this.
