Chances for Applicants with CRS Score less than 400

Hi All, I am currently going through this process of pre-ITA preparation phase. Me and my wife have completed IELTS and in the process of obtaining ECA for our education. Our CRS score is just below 400. I think its is primarily because we don’t have any education/work experience in Canada or any active job offer. We both work in IT since last 15-17 years and we both are experienced in Salesforce.com platform which is one of the demanding skills. My question is… What are our chances of getting a ITA? Should we start working for PNP? If yes then is it advisable to hire immigration firm to help with PNP process? Appreciate the guidance. Thanks!

I have a CRS score of 388, it’s almost a waste of time.
You need realistically a score of 440. The CRS will likely never go that low, if it does it will take years. Still apply though as Ontario hand out nominations towards the end of the year to hit quotas.
You may wish to look at vancouver pnp, you just need a job offer then you can see how you rank in their draw, otherwise its the atlantic program.

So it's kind of deadlock, that is what you are saying ?? PNP will take you, only if you have job offer and you will not have job offer until you get a PR ??

Perhaps you could share a few details about your application: your IELTS scores? Masters? Bachelors?

Like has been said, its quite unlikely you'd get a direct ITA with scores below 400. Last 3 draws were above 450.

I have no preference where i go really so it opens more doors. I have applied for jobs under the atlantic program to work in Halifax NS.
At the moment the employer is checking with an immigration official about the situation. The slight worry is most recruiters don’t understand this AIP is as simple as job offer, temporary visa then PR. If you apply under this program reassure them they need to simply offer you a job thats it...often you speak with someone with no knowledge on the terms of the AIP.

Some still insist you have a right to work in canada which is ridiculously stupid as this program is designed to feed skilled workers into less desireable locations.

If this fails, i will make sure i get a level 10 IELTS score so i rank well for Vancouver PNP and just seek a job there. If this fails then i will move to canada to get more CRS and live with my canadian brother and hope to get a nomination that way.

I would google Vancouver PNP point calculator and see how your score comes in. If you rank well you only need a job offer and its LMIA exempt.
