I believe we don't need that, it is required while responding to ITA. CIPS application may be pending at that time, until then they will keep the application on hold. please check below link

Good info. But while applying for SINP EOI it asks whether we have license for NOC selected?
Correct, in that case is it possible to complete that CIPS - ISP test before submitting EOI?
I have another question, the noc code you mentioned is 2173, but current in-demand occupation is 2174. is it possible to submit EOI with 2174 even though EE profile has 2173? These two noc code are really close and Cic explained in below link that progression from 2174 to 2173 is possible with experience. So I am really confused, should I withdraw my current EE profile and create a new one with 2174? as I read somewhere it creates much more issues if we change something in existing EE profile, even though it is not significant. Response will be highly appreciated

Additional information
  • Progression to information systems analyst, software engineer or Web designer is possible with experience.

Your application will be rejected. Your EE profile must have the same NOC as SINP EOI. Otherwise it will be rejected. Thats what I feel. Also check educational requirement for 2174 which is bit strict.

Hi.
I just created my EE profile with NOC 2174 as I am a Web Programmer with most of the duties as mentioned in NOC 2174 and few in 2175.
But now my query is, is licensure required for 2174 in Saskatchewan or any other province. I am skeptical because I am only a Java, Node JS, HTML, CSS, Android, Xcode Programmer with backend and frontend experience unlike EDP Application Programmer who comes under same NOC who will require a licensure.
Any help who has come across similar problem is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Hi,

I was also looking for the same information recently and found the link https://www.cicic.ca/928/find_out_if_your_occupation_is_regulated_or_not.canada

This will help you to find which NOC code is regulated by which province and will also guide you if you need to get any Licensure, though I am not sure how much accurate the information is.

As per above link, 2174 NOC is not regulated but 2173 is.

Do share if you've found any relevant information as I am also looking for the same info.

1)I completed by B.TECH Degree in Electronics. I dont have Computer Science Degree, But I do have more than 15+ years of experience in IT Technical field(not in Management). What should I select? AITP / ISP / ITCP?

2) What should be the route I have to select in filling the application? ISP-Education Plus Experience Route / ISp - Exam Route / ISP - I.T. Leader Route / ISP - Established Academic Route / Established IT Professional – Demonstrated Equivalency Route?

3) If I need to apply for multiple provinces do I need to submit different applications and pay different fee for each province?

There is a wizard to walk your through what certification you require. Pick ISP first.
https://cips.ca/certificationwizard/

3. Do you mean CIPS? You only need it for Saskatchewan. If through EE, you select PNP (if eligible) for the different provinces. You pay fees as required.
