CCB for non PR child

Hi All,


I have sponsored my child and currently the application is under process

Currently the child is OOS with parents in Canada

I have never applied/claimed any CCB in the past, but wondering if I could claim now since the application is already in process.


Few Questions

Does the child has to be a PR before parents could apply for CCB?

Child in Canada (OOS) with PR parents is sufficient for eligibility?

Any possibility applying CCB can impact the sponsorship process?

You can apply for CCB once the child starts living with you and you are the primary provider. He or she doesnt need to be a PR. It wont affect your sponsorship application.
You are eligible as a PR. My daughter moved last year and I applied the same day she arrived. Our PR application is still.in process.

what proof you showed in the application for ccb ,was it approved ,how long it took ?

There is a form online you have to fill and birth certificate. The process is on the website when you start. Its easy

im waiting on my landing in etobicoke ircc office ,been on a OWP since September 2016 and renewed June 2018 ,my daughter came to Canada April 2018 , makes it a year she's here can i apply now for CCB ,my fiance is a citizen and already gets for her kids if approved is there a back date for payments ?
