Dependants no CoPR

Hi All,

I just did my landing interview at IRCC Calgary. Thankful though but only got my CoPR and my dependants (spouse and children) did not received. I am so confuse and sad as I was expecting that all of us will have CoPR and will be together soon. I remember I paid for my dependants’ processing fee and my spouse’

By the way, I applied thru H & C.

Is there a mistake or what? Please advise me.

I listed as an accompanying dependants, paid the fees and the RPRF. All my dependants were asked for medical exams, police clearance, passports, etc. At the bottom of the CoPR under remarks says “ The following nads were examined and found admissible”.

Oh sorry,,,thru H&C. I am so confuse. I was expecting that all my dependants will be PR too.

Please help me. I need answers and clarity.

I want to know if someone out there has or has the same situation and what they did to get their dependants’PR.

You need to provide more context. How long have you been in Canada, is your family here as well, how did you come to Canada, why are you applying for H&C versus an economic immigration program, etc.

Hi. I am in Canada for almost 9 years. My accompanying dependants are not here in Canada (Philippines). I came as a foreign worker last 2009. Why H&C? because it’s the last hope as my first application under CEC was refused last 2014. H&C under my child who was born with a congenital disease. H&C ground was granted but accompanying dependants did not received CoPR on the day of my Final Determination of PR interview.
My dependants were listed as “accompanying dependants”.
That’s why I am confuse and can’t sleep. Questions amd questions on my mind but I am not getting the answers that’s why I came up here to seek help and clarity. I read on some thread that there were some in same situations but never answered why dependants did not received PR. I tried to reply on those previous threads but no reply yet.

Sounds like you were granted H&C. Your family will likely be contacted in the Phillipines for pre-arrival.

Hi again. Yes i was granted the PR thru H&C Grounds. Really?! Thank God! So I don’t need to sponsor them?

It should say there that you have dependents and what the status is in terms of a passport request. Have you checked your junk or spam mail? Has your family checked theirs? There might be an email for them somewhere.

No. I can’t. I hired an immigration lawyer and it’s only them who can check. His office was the one sending me all the correspondents from IRCC. I already sent an email to my lawyer regarding this matter and I am waiting for the reply probably next week but this keeps me awake at night wondering why they didn’t get their PR on the day I got my CoPR. I’ll ask my eldest son to check his email.

Thank you so much for the time to reply. Any reply means so much to me as I am a mother wanting to be reunited with my boys. It’s been almost 9 years since I left Philippines.

Also, the last correspondence I received from my lawyer’s office was the letter of Final Determination of PR interview.

Dependents do not usually get a PPR on the same day as your final determination. Should be sometime after you land, hopefully soon. Goodluck.

Crossing fingers, soon. Will it take few more weeks or months for my accompanying dependants to get PPR? How are they going to receive the PPR; by mail or email?

My apology if i have questions i just want clarification. As someone told me i need to sponsor them and apply since i apply inland and my dependants (sons) are in the Philippines. I became confused and worried because they’re listed as my accompanying dependants on my application.
