It’s frustrating specially when all they can tell you is “you just have to wait”My application is in process and still waiting for test invitation. My local office is Mississauga and currently March 2018 applicant are getting test invitation.
You will have to submit the police certificate even if it takes a few weeks. You can submit a receipt or communication indicating that you will receive the letter in few weeks. They can extend submission time based on that.My husband has just been asked for a police certificate from our home country. I have one from 5 years ago, does anyone know if this will suffice? Ive called our police dept this evening and theyve said it will take a few weeks? Information needs to be submitted
You can try but they might or might not consider it. I don't know what more you would need. Do try though.Hi,
Today I had a phone interview with one of the defence aviation company but they denied on the ground of Canadian Citizenship requirement. I told that my citizenship application is in process right now but company wants to fill the position on urgent bases so they can't wait until final decision of my application.
So my question is that can I apply for urgent process on the base of the interview invitation letter?
Congratulations! When's your Oath Ceremony?Just got oath invitiation. Here is the timeline

Wow! Congratulations! Scarborough is lightning fast!Hi,
Please update my status on the September 2018 applicants tab of the worksheet:
Application type: Single
Test Date: April 4th, 2019
Decision made: April 4th, 2019 (at the test location by an officer)
Oath invitation: April 4th, 2019 (at the test location by an officer)
Oath Date: April 5th, 2019 [Scarborough]
Congratulations rahulbose!I know this is not the most normal timeline and may raise some questions. Here's my two cents on this. I think CIC is trying to address the backlog of applications by making on-the-spot decisions at the test venue (if the officer has no further document requirement from the applicant and is satisfied with all information+test results+travel history, etc. provided as part of the application) and inviting such applicants for Oath ceremonies right away.
I think this is a pilot program. Moreover, I think only certain facilities/locations are enabled for this pilot. For everyone's information, my test location was Scarborough, ON. Please note that this is a NEW location and NOT the same one at 200 Town Centre.
