Hello. I need someone’s help!!!

I have a student visa and go to college.
My student visa is going to expire in May 2020.
However, I have already decided to take a leave of absence from the college after I finish my first semester in order to make money for the rest of tuitions.
So my student visa will be not valid while taking a vacation from the college.

For that, I would like to change my student visa to a working holiday visa inside Canada in order to work in Canada. Is it possible even though my student visa is going to expire in May 2020?? In that case, my student visa will be cancelled..?? It might be difficult to apply for the student visa as I go back to college...?

Thank you!

It depends on your country of origin. Where are you from? For some countries you must be living in your home country at the time you apply to qualify.

Note that if you take a break in your studies, you will not qualify for a Post Graduate Work Permit once you finish your degree / diploma.

Hello. Thank you for your reply.
I am from Japan.
I would like to apply for a working holiday visa, which is different from a work permit, I just heard. ( I am not sure though.)

You need to be living in Japan to apply. You can't apply from Canada. You would need to return to Japan and live there for a few months before applying.
