Thanks a lot for the info.I would suggest him to check with HR to do it as a "transfer" to Canada from India as if it is just a job transfer, instead of taking it as a new job. A job offer alone is not sufficient for addl 50 points. You need a letter from the employer stating that it is a transfer, and the workpermit should be a closed one and should have the same employer name mentioned on it and you should complete one year in Canada. The offer letter should also state that it is a full time job, and mention designation and annual wages.
If it meets all such criterion then it would me LMIA exempted and you can claim for additional 50 points. In my case, my attorney is asking me to get an experience letter as well from the employer with wages mentioned on it.
Please check this out page for details.

Ah this makes me sad. Are the CIC targets for the year for accepted and successfully processed ITAs OR just ITAs sent?Neither the draw frequency, nor the number of ITAs in each draw is going to undergo any change until end of Q3. They are hardly 3-4K short on their target which they would likely meet through a one week draw later this year.
All hopes should be pinned on reduction in the inflow of applications.

I think its the former too. So their targets are for successful PR applications, which means a simple math though probably close to the right answer may not be enough to say how the 'draw frequency' and 'number of ITAs per draw' will change. This makes me curious, I wonder how many ITAs in a given month actually result in COPR. Whats the rejection rate, I dont think it would be too much but I bet theres some. Which means they could, especially as the year progresses, revise how frequent they need to have draws and also the number of candidatesThe former
What I wrote was my view. I could be wrong too

Probably couple of months, depending on the intake I guess. How much time it will take to reach 445 mine score is 445
If you have all required documents as a common law partner, then you should be OKAY. However, you should check carefully document list and do a proper documentation.I have 445 points but we both get 454 if I join my common law partner application. (He has 456 alone now)
Will CIC be more harsh on common law application or its better to apply separately?
