VISA Rejection due to academics?

Hi All,

I want to know if anybody got visa rejection due to the academics?? I have heard of various reasons like:

• Course Mismatch
• Year Drop
• Course Drop
• Low Language score

To cut it short, my brother's profile is :

1. XII - 52%
2. BBA - 48%
3. IELTS - Overal 6.0 (6,6,5.5,6)
4. Funds - 1 Semester Fee Receipt + TT Receipt for GIC
5. Course - International Business Management - Mohawk College

Is there any chances that the VISA might get rejected due to Academics?

oh my god i have same profile like you ,,same course IBM,,,i got my visa approved today. but my bba and 12 grades are more than 80%. so i got visa.....i applied through Jain overseas consultants in Jalandhar..anyway try again,,,,feeling sorry but we cannt do anything right,,so try to apply again with strong ielts and sop,,,,,,god bless uuuuuuuuuuu

IELTS just meets the requirement for a few colleges ( for any under grad program = over all 6, no less than 5.5, for post grad programs = over all 6.5 no less than 6).
As BBA score is less than 50%, it makes him fall in general category (not SPP). YOu didn't mention if he has any work experience.

Course is not at all a mismatch, it's perfect. Though as the case is barely meeting the requirements, chances aren't that bright. However, 1 girl applied with almost similar profile, similar score in academics, (But ielts was 6.5 and had work exp of 3 years), got the visa.

SPP got replaced SDS and there is nothing mentioned in requirements of SDS about percentage.Although due to having less than 6 bands in ielts he do falls under general category.

people with 40%-45% have also got visa
and
there are plenty with 50% and more

moreover once a person has Loa from institute, the main thing that plays is
IELTS AND SOP
