Hey guys just a quick question. I just realized my TRV visa (travel document) is expiring in July, 2019 but I got my OWP until March,2021.
When I paid my OWP fees, it was 250$. So if I need to renew my TRV, do I have to apply again and pay the fee or was it included and I get some sort of a passport request?
I do plan to travel to the states for a few days in the summer. I have a valid 10yr US visa but my Canadian TRV expires in July 2019..

I think you might have to apply again? It depends on when you r planning to go. They usually require all the documents will not expire in the next 3 months

If you applied for PR + OWP with temporary status, the OWP application is your "extension request" until a decision is made on your OWP(which I haven't seen/heard get denied without crazy reason).

If it does get refused, you will then have the clock started for status restoration. Up to you.

You can always submit an extension and if you get your OWP you can withdraw your extension request.

What crazy reasons have you seen for refusal?

Morning,

For linking OWP for the last question did you use the option: 1. Spouse or common law of a skilled worker in canada or 2. Applied for PR via spouse or common law?

Many thanks

I haven't seen of any at all. Im just wondering if you worked when not supposed to or maybe a bad crime.

I asked someone before and they haven't seen anyone get denied it once it's being processed.

Hi! You have to select "Applied for permanent residence as a spouse or common law partner"

So if I have a rep:

1- I cant link my Pr application
2- I cant link owp
3- I can only login to ECAS
4- I will know of OWP approval only by physical mail

Right?

Thanks
Correct.
What you can do, if you have the application number for the PR (starts with F followed by 9 numbers) or for the OWP (starts with W followed by 9 numbers), is to call the automated line: 1-888-242-2100, options 1-1-2-3 (for PR) or options 1-1-1-3 (for OWP). It'll read the information that is on GCKey.

I received my medical request this morning, does anyone know approximately how much it is? (I'm in the GTA area if that makes any difference)

My husband got his done with Dr. Kuhlmann (666 Burnhamthorpe Rd in Etobicoke). We were able to get an appointment for the following day after receiving MR. He had to wait for a bit at the office (45-60 minutes) and had to do his X-Ray at another location after the exam, but the prices seemed pretty good (around $180 cash at the doctor's and $40 for X-Ray).

You should look for all the local panel physicians, see who has the earliest availability and they will tell u how much. Did mine yesterday and it cost 235 tax in and cash only.
Cic has all the legit panel physicians list sorted by city. I only called one and they had a spot right away right next to where i work. They also have all different doctors speak different languages if needed.

The cheapest I've heard is $200 in Scarborough. My wife went to North York Panel on the day she received MR and it was $220 total. She got all the tests and x-ray done within an hour. All in the same building.
