Haha, yeah. They rejected me the first time too and for stupidest of reasons. I came here in 2010 and almost everyone from my grad school has their Canadian citizenship by now. Its just one expense after another. Where are you based at in canada?erm I hope not.. sadly it is up to CIC.. sometimes they extend it.. sometimes they ask for re medicals. it will be nightmare for me since I had to go to another city to get my medical done and the trip cost me around $1000.

I am in Nova Scotia, Although I am entitled/eligible for the Atlantic Pilot too. but then again, more money, time and efforts to apply for it. I thought it will be easier so called "Express" but it was the opposite of what I anticipated. sshoo!
I am in Winnipeg and I should've applied for the provincial nominee as its a lot quicker. Sadly I feel for the express entry scam and wasted two years back to back.

So i had a BFD on my file for March 26th, I called yesterday and there is no update. Eligibility still in process and security not started. the agent said security will not start until eligibility is determined.
my file was initially in Vegreville, then moved to Ottawa and now in a dark corner of Sydney.

yesterday I saw most of the people received call from CIC which in unusual, they are outlanders. CIC asked them if they can land before a specific date in April to Canada and pay their fees ASAP. Also, if they don't say yes then their remedicals will be requested and there will be no timeframe to process their application.

seems legit.. because they do have the right information to discuss. and it was for all review required people.. waiting for an update for a while now.

That is so bizarre. Is there anything we can do? I mean we have waited so long already. I ordered my GCMS notes and i came in my email yesterday with absolutely no change. Same as the notes I ordered back in Nov.

Do you know why your application is taking this long? Do you have a review required in your eligibility portion? I know a few people have approached local MPs to push their applications forward. Have you tried this?

Yes I have reached out to my local MP and he tried to get additional info back in Dec. But they gave him the same generic answer as to I will just have to wait as this can sometimes take longer.
I have no idea why its taking this long. I dont even know what to make of my GCMS notes. It seems like my file has been reviewed by many officers with their IDs shown but a review required status is left everytime.
Criminality is passed and I havnt received any email or msg from CIC for additional documents. Its very frustrating.
Oh, I'm so sorry, I really hope they will finalize your application soon. There must be a reason for the review required though. If it's something to do with your documents, have you tried resubmitting new ones, resolving whatever the issue they have?
What is the review required for, if you don't mind me asking?
