Greetings,

I am pleased to have found this group. I am currently living with my girlfriend here in Canada for 10 months. We will step into 12 months in May. I am planning to apply for a work permit while she studies since I am willing to apply for our PR as soon as possible. We are both on a study permit and are currently studying full time.

We have a joint lease agreement, joint bank accounts, phone/credit card bills on the same address. We can also get a letter from our landlord we have been living together.

So my question here is, what is the process of switching to work permit? I am not planning to go an immigration lawyer or consultant rather take help from here and do it myself. So any help and guidance will be really appreciated. Where do I apply (any links), what sort of documents do I have to gather? How long till I get the work permit. Also, what is the difference between inland and Outland? Sorry about so many questions. But I really want to get it done with.

Thank you in advance.

Thank you for your reply. Can you please guide me on how to do it? Since there are guides here on how to apply for work permit from outside Canada but I could not find any from how to do it inside Canada.
Did you click on the link and answer the questions? Because question 1 asked how you are applying and you choose between paper or online. Question 2 asks where you are applying from where you can choose Canada. Please go through the link, read it thoroughly and answer all questions so that you can access the step by step guides.
