Hello! Everyone! I have applied to sponsor my husband who is Indian Citizen currently in U.S. on work permit.

Timeline:

Application Received(Sydney) : 26 November 2018
AOR: 22 January 2019
SA: 29 January 2019
MR: January 28 2019
MVO(Mississauga): Feb 1 2019
Additional Doc Request: Feb 22 2019
Document received: Feb 28 2019

The background check hasn't even started yet. It has been almost a month and on mycic it shows :
"Review of eligibility : We are reviewing whether you meet the eligibility requirements.
Review of additional documents : We are reviewing the additional documents you provided."
I am starting to get worried. Does anyone else have same status???

Idk if my background check started but did medical, sent additional documents and now waiting...

Schedule A form to submit the latest version. That's it. On my mycic, it doesn't say that background check in progress

My spouse got their PPR today, but my GCkey shows no changes. Is that normal? What does a PPR mean for the application process? (I know it means Passport Request but I mean does it mean approval? Were my documents I submitted enough? that kinda thing )

- My application to sponsor my wife was received in the first week of november2018
- The medical was done on 31 JAn 2019 and was updated as passed a week later.
- I got an email requesting additional documents on 12 feb and were received by them on 7 march2019 and the status was updated to " additional documents received" after a few days.
- Today i just check the status using the online tool. In the ' sponsorship application status', I can see a new line >>

1. We sent you a letter on March 15, 2019. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.

Does anyone have any idea what it means?

P.S - 1. I got the letter and email stating the approval on sponsorship in first week of january2019
2. By logging into the Gc key, I can see ' your action is required' under the 'current status' tab,whereas there is no other unread message or update.

Try going into the detailed page. It will have at the bottom of the page a copy of the document they sent u.

Good day can anyone tell me where am I in the application process? It is for my spouse from Lebanon. I didnt recieve any email in regards to our application being transferred overseas . I submitted the application to Mississauga.
Recieved AOR , Biometrics completed, Medical submitted and passed. We are currently in BGC and it hasn't changed in a while.

GCKEY won’t update till after you’ve got COPR and Landed.

You’ll get COPR after PPR and then you can land.

COPR is confirmation of permanent residence, you take it with you when you land. Yeah, you’re all approved. Pre-arrival services isn’t always sent out, but isn’t essential. When did your ECAS change to decision made?

I could not find any document at the bottom of the page. Anyhow, i just received the letter today. They have sent me back the original documents they had requested earlier i.e birth certificate etc.

It has not changed to decision made but we got the PPR. Is that normal?

EDIT: On the online tool it says DECISION MADE but not on the actual linked application. That's so weird.

ECAS typically updates faster than GCKEY and at this stage you won’t see GCKEY change till you’re issued COPR I believe.

Can anyone with additional documents requests who’s not yet had DM, check their ECAS and see if it says they’ve started to process your application yet?

No update, I don't know what is taking them so long to transfer the file.

My file is stuck at syndey too. No update since the medical passed, it has been over a month now. I’ve heard that if you’ve submitted more thn one PCC and lived in other countries thn your country of residence, thats the reason they hold back our files longer. At this point, they are processing our backgroung check for the countries we’ve visited for more thn 6 months , they’ll transfer our file as soon as they’re done with it.

No change as yet on ecas @JoshC . had send the additional document on18th March , hoping to hear by early coming week.
