Just a quick update to our application:

Our application had been forwarded to Mississauga on Feb 27/2019. We had med request on Feb 19/2019, it was completed here in Toronto on Mar 4/2019. Then, medical was updated as submitted on GCKEY/ECAS on Mar 15/2019.

Also, ECAS was updated to say that PA application was being processed (AOR2) on Mar 8/2019. We received pre-arrival services email on Mar 9/2019 and that was the last communication we received so far.

Hopefully within the next couple of weeks we should be getting DM, PPR, and then finally the very coveted CoPR!
Spreadsheet updated. Hopefully things are moving quickly. Mississauga are a speedy VO, so best of luck!

Congratulations!!

As you are a British PA and therefore visa-exempt, you won't get a passport request as there is no visa to fix. Instead, the next things you see / get should be your CoPR. Good to know that Mississauga are still as quick as they have been in the past.

Happy landings!

We've got another British PA (@applefritter1) in the November thread and they've received PPR, it just states for visa-exempt countries that a copy of the passport + 2 passport pictures must be sent in place of the actual passport.

Yes, sometimes they ask (i.e. copies) for that and sometimes they don't.

We sent copies of our passport with the mandatory photos with the original spousal sponsorship pack. Then after DM, we got the CoPR in the post, no request for a further copy passport or fresh photos. We then landed and the PR Card came through after 3 months, again with no further photo requests. I also know from others that our experience was not at all unique.

Interesting, I think I could be a good case for this as I renewed my passport in January and sent the copy through via the web form the day I received it. As you said, we all have had to send photos in with the original application.

You learn something new every day!

Yes, it would be nice to think that there is a solid, reliable and predictable single process across all Canadian VO's wouldn't it!

Instead, over time, I have seen / heard from others that even within a single VO, different things to apparently identical circumstances apply. I suspect it is due to different Case Officers having a different interpretations - such is a government department.

Agreed, it all seems to be different for every case. I believe now from the November tracker, out of the 18 of us sent to CPC-M, there's only me not to receive any sort of indication that they're processing my application. However, I've read that they can still be processing, but just fail to update ECAS.

I can dream that I'll get COPR randomly through the post soon eh? :p

Wow that is very interesting, my hubby did send in his photos and copy of passport already. He was complaining that he may have to do it again and pay to do it but my thinking was more of "our application is getting process in less than 12 months, I don't even care anymore what they ask! Just do what they want and land already!"

If it can get done quicker, it will be a huge relief so thanks for explaining that!

Expect 12 months from the month you applied.

Exciting!!! Congrats. I hope it moves very quickly for you!

Update on our end - husband just did the medical (for those searching the forums for information on Singapore Visa Medicals...fly to KL and do it at Life Care Diagnostics. No appt needed and VERY organized. Much faster and less stress than trying to do it in Singapore where appts are scarce)

Just FYI, there have been a few recent 'decision made' updates on the spreadsheet for people who's files were sent to Mississauga - and with much shorter elapsed overall timelines. See spreadsheet link in my signature line.
