8 Months later I finally got the golden email I have been waiting for

This process tested my patience level to the core. I was in my own zone cribbing and getting annoyed and didn’t know what to do other than waiting. Then I saw super kind and fun people like @tobs @Mr_nobody @R.Tequila and many more - made me realise that helping others and making fun of agent Mathew is what I was supposed to do from the beginning . The purpose of the goal is not to achieve the goal, but the person you become while achieving it (- Tony Robbins).

Thanks to @tobs and @cansha and you all for helping with so many queries (I have more questions on further process ) and I’m looking forward to meet people like you in Canada, who inspire so many others to be at their best.

June 12th AOR, I got the same response from CIO, awaiting the arrival of GCSM notes.

Hi. I am July AOR but I love this thread. I am well over 8 months and my file is currently in AVO.

I have ordered GCMS notes but it’s yet to arrive. Today is the 37th day post order. Nothing is happening at AVO. A lot of people are stuck there. Some people are 11 months, 12 months and even over a year post AOR. We hear PPRs raining in other VOs but it’s a complete drought in Accra. What is happening?

Nope, no reason. But as far as I could tell it was because they had a busy December, and they chose to delay the release of notes ordered within a date range in December. A few others who had ordered notes around the time that we did, didn't get their notes till much later either. On the other hand, people who ordered in start January got their notes in three weeks time, before those still waiting from December

Thanks for sharing. I keep wondering if that is what happened to so many June applications: they reached the 6-month line in a very busy time of the year (December) and then got backlogged (more like black-holed) even further than later applications.

But then again, if immitracker has any reliability as a sample, around 87% of June applicants have already received their PPR, and moving up painfully slowly...

New member here. Thought I would share this to cheer up all those who were waiting like me for months.

After filing the application in June 2018 with all relevant documents and medical test. The only update I got was in July 2018 saying that I have cleared my medicals. Then there was a period of long silence from CIC. No updates at all.

I tried general queries using the web form but always got the standardized response that they are actively working on my case. I was even wondering like many others here whether they have forgotten about my case.

Finally, I got a 'Request Letter' from CIC on 03/15/2019 requesting me to upload the bank statements for the last 6 months and proof of income from my jobs within 7 days. I have submitted everything. Fingers crossed.

Even @ChiragShetty20 got remeds request with 3 months left for older one. Nothing to worry, it seems officer wants you to do it again as time left is less.

That’s so unprofessional of them. It’s their fault because of long wait, so they should either pay for it or process applications within specified timeline.

Unortunately we have no choice but redo that. Some people told that it was a good sign and the evidence that things were moving, according to some I were probably in SS and my case is now cleared? What do you think?

I sometimes wonder if there's an applicant named Mathew and he raises a CSE query and gets a reply from agent Mathew. And what if later his case gets assigned to visa officer whose name is also Mathew.
