Salam,

I agree it wouldn't hurt anything (The officer has done his job, now someone just need to send you the ppr and other paper work). Raise a CSE and send emails to Visa offices. They might have forgotten to send you ppr.
Thanks for the prompt reply as always.

3 months from approval to PPR. Do you think sending email/call to the office helps for speeding up the process?
I remember that I read in the forum that Vancouver visa office usually sends interview appointments to inland applicants and it might take sometime to send out the interview invitation email. I will try to search about it and share it here, if I find anything.

Question guys.
I recently accepted a job offer and I am going to start my new job sometime soon.
It is the exact same position and NOC number. Only my employer has changed.
Knowing that my eligibility and criminality is passed and only security is in progress, Do you think that I need to inform CIC about this change through a webform?

First of all, I gave you 100th like! Congratulations :D Sorry I am a little OCD when it comes to exact numbers :D

I don't think so, because you are applying through CEC. You used your passed job experience to get points. It had nothing to do with the job after that. You claimed you worked for one year in your previous company and you sent them the documents. This is my thinking

Sorry @ms-nobody But something seems wrong. How much is the application fee? and what did you answer to the questions?
is there any spot to upload AOR and/or pnp nomination? As far as I know they only require these for BOWP. If they need more docs, I am sure they already have known about the law and would have given you the supporting letter before you ask. The reason is that pnp usually takes long and I am sure there are a lot of people who are in the same situation as you. if they want to be this lazy, they are gonna be overwhelmed with the number of requests people make.

I searched on these forums, but didn't find anything interesting. You can either call CIC or if you don't have time, raise a CSE and ask about it.
@Mr_nobody ,@aasaf – the current application fee is 410 CAD for two people.

You maybe right and I might answer to some questions wrong that put me in different route.

Little background, I am on close work permit tight to my employer with LMIA.

I am PNP nominated and in express entry, my PNP nomination doesn’t have employment restriction.

Now there is question on work permit extension application as:

Which situation best describes your work situation?

The choices are:

I am working under an international agreement

I am eligible for a work permit through an active pilot project

I am provincial nominee certificate holder

I am entrepreneur/ self employed

I am spouse or common law partner of a foreign student

I am religious worker

I am academic

I am intra-company transferee

NONE OF THE ABOVE

I answered this at first to “I am provincial nominee certificate holder”, which demands a support letter from BC PNP, and now I see maybe this is wrong answer .

If I answer as NONE OF THE ABOVE, then it asks me if I have LMIA ,if I say NO it said I can’t proceed further, if I say yes it lets me go forward and then it ask for it as supporting document, now question is , I do have expired LMIA that used to obtain my current work permit, can I submit that or this guys need a fresh one, if yes I don’t have a fresh one.

If they need a fresh LMIA, only way remains is to wait for PNP to give me a support letter then file for open work permit.

Please let me know what you think.

Thanks for your response @Mr_nobody :)
This is what I got as a response from Legalfalcon. I think this makes sense and I have to inform them just in case there is any job verification needed at any stage of their background check:

"You should inform IRCC that you have changed your job. This is vital because IRCC may inquire about your employment verification with your current employer, if you have claimed for that employment.
By informing IRCC, they will be aware that you no longer work there. There is no need for an updated work ref letter from the new employer. Just a simple communication informing change of employment."

Thank you so much for sharing this with me.
Even though I agree with him, I think it is not necessary for you as you already passed eligibility. Only security left and that has nothing to do with the job verification. All in all, I agree it is safer to let them know. It doesn't hurt. As a matter of fact, it might even bring attention to the officer and they may update your file if there is anything else waiting (like if they received the results from CBSA). Might even have a good influence in the best case scenario)

Good luck :)
