Currently, I am working on a employer specific work permit (closed work permit) which is valid till May, 2020. For some reasons, i am leaving this job and recieving the offer letter from new employer very soon, where i am supposed to start working from May 1st, 2019. However, I can not join in my new work place until i receive the new work permit, because my current work permit is emplyer specific. Now it is taking 3 months to receive the new work permit after submitting the application. So i would like to know if i am eligible to get new employer specific permit at the Canada-US border?
Please advise me if anyone have the information about it.
