Do I need to show 7 or 3 years of work experience?

Hi Guys!

So my question is little different. I have about 7 years of work experience from about 5 employers.

As the max points we get is for 3 years work experience, and getting Reference Letter is exact Express Entry format is a pain from different employers. I was actually wondering if I can ONLY show my last two employers as they would cover my 3 years.

Or I need to show my ENTIRE professional career?

Any help is appreciated!

Not sure how this question is "different" - It gets asked a lot : )

You cannot get into the Express Entry pool unless you first qualify for one of the Programs - FSW, CEC, or FST. They all have different experience requirements. That is why Jaffaral asked the question. For example, under FSW, you have to qualify with a minimum of 67 points. You can count up to 6 years of work experience for maximum FSW points. But that is different from the EE CRS score.

CRS POINTS: The maximum credit you can get for foreign work experience is 3 years. The maximum credit you can get for Canadian work experience is 5 years. You did not indicate which it was, so it is hard to answer your question.

But yes - for the PROFILE, if you do not need to list a job for points, you don't have to list it (or if you know you cannot document it). You only need to list the employment which is (a) eligible (skilled), and (b) you can document.

Later, if you get to the application stage, you will need to list EVERYTHING in your back ground document. But not on the profile.

Thanks man. It does clear a lot of things. So I will be opting for CRS.
So while creating PROFILE, I only need to get complete documents that shows 3 years of experience. And in APPLICATION stage, everything needs to be listed.
One question, how exactly application stage different from prior stage? Is it just a document prepared by me without any assistance from my previoud employers?

Oh dear. It didn't clear anything up. You cannot "opt" for CRS, I have no idea what you're thinking, but it is not right.
You have to start at the beginning and learn the basics of express entry.

You do not need any documents at the profile stage. But you should not list anything that you cannot document.

And in APPLICATION stage, everything needs to be listed. Yes, whether you are "claiming points" for it in the profile, or not.

Here is another source of good basic info about Express Entry -

You don't need any letter to create and submit a profile. Submitting the bare minimum (3 years) is sufficient in this case.

After you get ITA, you will need to submit the actual application. You can add the 3 years into 'Work Experience' section of the application and the rest of the experience in the 'personal details' section of the application. Then in the document attachments section, you will only need to attach the letters for 3 years.

Hi

I received my ITA under FSW through my foreign work experience. I became eligible for CEC one month after receiving ITA.

Should I include my Canadian work experience in my employment history section, or include my foreign experience only and then put my Canadian experience under personal activity?

Is including additional work experience after ITA an issue? It would increase my CRS by 40 points.

I would appreciate any advice. Thanks
