Im Jan 25th and still waiting. I called IRCC yesterday and they said my file isnt in the system yet. The man was extremely rude to me.

You should record conversations with them. Report them. You paid your money to ask damn questions about your application. They didn't even answer me today.
I wish i would have asked his name. So first, I called, waited on hold for almost an hour. When the agent came on the line, I explained that I was requesting my temporary file number and all info on my file if any. He asked what my application date was (jan 25) then proceeded to tell me they haven't opened any applications past Jan 11. (Lie #1) I replied that i know Jan 24 applicants are receiving emails and that applicants from january 16 are even receiving their opw approvals. He laughed and said it takes 4-5 months for the owp to be approved so guaranteed nobody in January has it yet (Lie #2). I then told him I have seen it with my own eyes. Regardless, I want my info and that is why I called. He repeatedly told me that they "probably" have not opened my file yet and that my file number changes anyway etc (Lie #3)
I finally got mad and told him he won't know if they opened my file until he actually looked up MY file. I also stated that I have a right to this information and that I waited an hour on hold to get it and I'm not getting off the phone until he checks it.
He put me on hold for aporox 5 mins and came back and said no new entries were on my file (our file was returned to us before for a missing document)
Sorry, but do your damn job. That is literally your job. Answer the phone snd provide information. Ugh.
