What do you mean by showing 80-85% of POF?... You have to show at least the amount required for your family size. If it's short by just 1$ it won't be accepted!
Usually, online bank statements are not accepted unless they are stamped by the bank. For the case of
@anotherone11 , most likely the bank statement wasn't accepted, and the amount shown on it was reduced from the total available funds declared. If the case was nevertheless approved, it means that the reduction of funds didn't make the applicant fall below the minimum fund requirement. Or maybe they called the bank to verify.
For example, if applicant shows bank statements totalling 50 000 CA$, but they could only verify 40 000 CA$, it's fine, because applicant would still be above minimum. If they could verify only 5 000 CA$, that would immediately trigger
"Procedural Fairness Letter".
So I'd strongly suggest the following. If you have all your funds shown through an online bank statement, get it stamped! If it's just a small portion, make sure you won't fall below minimum if they don't accept it or cannot verify it.
Yes you can show bank statements of spouse. However, you'll need to show you have access to the account, and that spouse has no objection with you using the funds for immigration purposes. Proof of this can be an affidavit from spouse, or ideally a power of attorney letter. That one is a sure hit.
