Looks like our application is on life support.

The letter received was the Procedural Fairness letter, which from what I’ve come to understand, is your last Hail Mary at convincing an officer not to reject your application.

The reason is that they are not convinced that I, the sponsor, intend to reside in Canada.

I uploaded about 14 files to the case specific enquiry webpage, so hopefully it’s enough.

Hello Everyone,

On February 27th I received a message for my Medical Examination, I scheduled an appointment on March 6th and completed it. I called yesterday and they’ve indicated the results came back and will upload the results to CIC.

My question is - Do you receive a notification on CIC indicating that you’re results are uploaded and passed?

I’m yet to receive a message to carry out my biometrics, which is troubling since my husband and I will be moving to Halifax by the end of the month (tickets has purchased already). Or does the biometrics requirements does not apply to me.

I’ve read the following (I’m from the Caribbean) -

The biometrics requirements take effect as follows for citizens from non-exempt countries:

  • Starting July 31, 2018 – applicants from Europe, Middle East and Africa
  • Starting December 31, 2018 – applicants from Asia, Asia Pacific and the Americas

Any responses on this will be greatly appreciated.

Kind Regards.

she also got this email...so do they need the marriage certificate only or the rest of them mentioned in the bullets as well?

Dear ......

This refers to your application for permanent residence under the Family Class. In order for us to continue processing your application, please submit the following document(s):
..............
Marriage Certificate: You may need to submit extra forms based on where the person you’re sponsoring lives.

You may also need to follow special instructions about specific documents to provide based on the country where the document is issued.

When you visit the application package page on the IRCC website, you’ll select a country or territory to get country-specific instructions for documents such as:

· passports;

· birth certificates;

· marriage or divorce certificates;

· national identification cards;

· military service documents (for example, military booklets);

· other civil documents

You’ll find country specific requirements on the application package page. Please visit: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/spouse.asp

Please note:

Any document that is not in English or French must be accompanied by the English or French translation completed by a certified translator, and a copy of the original document. If any of the requested document(s) are not available, please submit a detailed written explanation.
She can schedule a medical exam within Canada that wouldn’t be an issue.

Hi Saima26,

Is your application an Outland Sponsorship? If yes, were you able to carry out your biometrics in Canada or did you have to fly to a VAC to have it done?

I look forward to your feedback.

Did they ask these questions after Sponsorship Approval?

How did you try to convince them in the first place? Statements like this make me worried that we will provide enough information.
We are about to apply and wrote a long letter with the why, when and where. We are also including a few letters from family and friends stating that they know that we want to move there. But we obviously can't give them a rental agreement or a job offer in Canada because it is impossible to get such things so much in advance.

Hi,

Usually when u do the medicals, the results will be sent by the hospital to CIC and then the CIC will review the results and update the Gckey saying "You passed the medical exam" and also in Ecas in Principal applicant's side, there will be a line added saying medicals results have been received (can't remember the exact thing it says. For me, this took week to update from the day I did my medicals.

Good luck!

My husband went to VFS Manila and paid less than 800 pesos, forgot how much exactly.
You can look at this link for the fees

https://www.vfsglobal.ca/canada/Philippines/Service_and_Service_Charge.html

My wife and I only paid less than 1k (pesos) and that's for the both of us. We were not asked for our biometrics. I asked the lady who took our passports why the other applicants were asked for their biometrics. She said it really depends on the Canadian Embassy if they will ask you for your biometrics or not. A little vague but I guess were just lucky.

What's ur timeline?
I'm sorry. I'm really lazy and forgetful when it comes to remembering our timeline. We made a complete submission (CIC) late december 2018. Had an update 1st week February 2019 notifying us that we passed the medical exam and had our passports requested by VAC last Feb 11, 2019. If I'm not mistaken, we received our ITA from CIC late October 2018.
