So! As predicted, we have been forwarded to Vienna VO. What I find most telling is that I got the transfer email less than three hours after my husband finished his medical appointment (earlier today, eMedical). I know that some are forwarded before medicals, but I find this to be way too big of a coincidence not to be connected.

Now I can only cross my fingers Vienna finds the application from another German-speaking country simple to process... (literally as I type this I'm receiving WhatsApp messages from the Vienna group about how slow it is!).

I was sure it would end up with CPC-M :( Lets just hope it goes fast for you now and there are no hiccups down the road.

We have had Medical Passed and Biometrics complete since March 3. Still just patiently waiting for a transfer. PA in the UK, but sponsor also in UK. I’m thinking it’s gonna be LVO.

All good with the medical? As @aby1098 said, you're going in the right direction now and every application is different so we can all cross our fingers that yours is processed quickly.

Thanks! I was more disappointed back when I saw the initial big batch of apps going to CPC-M -- by this point I really was expecting Vienna all the way. I do hope that our overall progress wasn't delayed by how slow it was to get the medical appointment though, especially now that we know we won't be going through speedy Mississauga . I guess now it's just a matter of obsessively checking ECAS for the magic words....

Sounds like we're in a similar boat, with sponsor living outside Canada. I know (from @JoshC's data :D) that not every application with a sponsor outside Canada was sent to the local VO, but it does seem there's a tendency there. On the other hand, clearly completing medicals didn't push anything forward for you, so what do I know? :p Crossing my fingers you hear something soon, though!

To be fair, the data was leaning towards your thoughts:
  • 79.17% of transferred applicants had their sponsor living in Canada.
  • 62.50% of applicants transferred to CPC-M had passed medicals.
Whilst it's not definitive it definitely lends to your theories.

Congratulations! It is moving finally:D I agree with you that this is not a coincident. But don't quite believe WhatsApp say about the speed. Not a single person would think the speed is fast enough even if it is a 3-month process instead of 12-month.:p

I mean, I'm sure in the end it's a complex set of factors that takes into account things like the local VO and visa-exempt countries, etc, but yeah, I think you can start to see trends when you have all the information about an application that make it easier to at least make a decent guess about where something will end up.

My feeling with medicals is not that they needed to have been passed necessarily, but that whenever the clinic digitally indicates to IRCC that they have been completed, it triggers the transfer email. I just noticed a lot of people received their transfer notice sometime in between the medicals being actually done and showing up as passed. This is the least scientific and most hunch-based of all my theories though! ;):D

Guys, it's regarding about uploading file in webform. I was having a difficulties upload the biometrics receipt via webform and just phoned them and told me that they're having a problem with the system and it might be fix today or tomorrow or in the near future.

Haha thank you! I will try to remember your words when I start to get worried.... You never know the details of people's actual applications anyway -- many of the people complaining could be the ones who have, for whatever reason, the most complex or difficult applications. Here's hoping ours is a little less so... once someone starts actually looking at it. o_O

I really think you’ll end up getting it the day after your meds are confirmed as passed. I’ve got my fingers crossed it goes to CPC-M!

Gary’s been lax recently, maybe this weeks the week he pulls his finger out :D
Any chance that Gary went to Hong Kong for his vacation? It's been quiet for a while after he took off;)

Ha! Thanks for holding out hope! Still haven't heard a peep, though. By now I'm totally expecting Vienna, so I'd be pretty surprised to get CPC-M. At this point I'd just reaaaallllllly like if they'd tell us where it's going either way! I think we're going to have to buy plane tickets in the next week or so and it would be so helpful to know how long to guesstimate until COPR. Gary, where are you when we need you??? :p

We have had medicals passed for 11 days and no transfer, I am the sponsor living IN Canada; when I called last week, agent told me file has been 'marked' for transfer to Mexico City. No AOR 2 tho. No confirmation of transfer yet. :) (Not complaining, it is what it is ... eventually something will happen.)

Congrats to you! You are lucky. I think we are one of the very last awaiting transfer to VO. However, to test the theory that it's only complex cases taking long time to transfer to VO...our case is seemingly straightforward: first marriage for both, no dependents, LONG relationship history with extensive proof, including reference letters from Members of Parliament (whom I know personally) and other professionals, etc. Great, high profile job on my part + Canadian citizen by birth. You'd think it would be straightforward. Fingers crossed for something this week.
