Yes u r right 8 months is long enough i have seen syrian and Bhutanese refugees processed in 4 months...But other than that all other applicants are processed in 16-18 months timeframe...But u never know miracles happen sometimes...May be in coming days we could see someone get it even earlier than 16 months...

Hey guys, I just recieved an invitation for my landing interview from Etobicoke IRCC. My DM was Feb 13th 2019 and I’m landing on March 13th 2019. I just wanted to point out a pattern for landing interviews these days at Etobicoke. I have another application in my house which followed the same pattern so right now it seems that anybody receiving DM should expect to land exactly on the date they recieve it the very next month and exactly one week before that date they should expect the invitation email. I know a lot of people are anxious so I hope this calms their nerves a little.

Why everyone is referring to DM? I know it means decision made. But which step it is before or after PPR? May I ask what is your stream?

Inland or outland?
Your timeline seems very unusual

We have applied Inland - SCLP ( Spousal Class )
i am the sponsor. She had come on a visitor visa after we got married.

Definitely not a refugee...must be either express entry candidate or other category PR applicant. Coz processing timeline denotes he has received it within a year timeframe which isn't possible for refugees PR applicant...

Yes. We r not refugees. i have sponsored my wife under the Family Class inland application for which the processing timelines are 12 or less.
infact we were about to get DM on Dec 28 , but on Dec 17 my wife's medicals expired and the officer opened the file on Dec 28 to finalize but since the medicals expired, we got a second request to complete them and the turnaround to re open the file is normally 30 days.

You're very welcome. I hope so too! I'm still waiting for my DM, it's been almost 17 months so far but there's nothing I can do but wait. I'll update you all if I get any good news. I'm really hoping to hear something at the 1.5 years mark.

Yes u will hear from them soon. Most of the applicants take 16-18 months...prayers for u that u get ur DM soon. Be positive...be patient...Cheers

I am a refugee and I got my DM on 13 February. Etobicoke Office is supposed to contact me for a landing appointment. When do I expect to hear for them (an email for example)? When do I expect my landing interview to be? I have spoken with a CIC agent and she told me that the maximum waiting time is 10 weeks. However, I know it is not true in most cases.

Which email?? Is it regarding ur DM email or landing interview email.???

Regarding my schedule i called ircc and they told me that etobicoke will contact me for my landing as i am approved. So i wanna know if its okay to email them regarding my landing or have to wait for couple days first

They will contact u in 4-5 weeks. U got ur DM on March 5th. So u can expect to get the email on 27-28 March. And ur landing interview will be scheduled for 5th or 6th April...

Hey yes you can email etobicoke there is no problem with that but since you got the dm on march 5 th you are likely to be scheduled for interview april 1st week it usually takes 4-5 weeks
