Update: I contacted IRCC, and they said this appointment is for taking a test!!
Yes, I received it today. Here is my timeline:
- We received your application for Canadian citizenship (grant of citizenship) on September 17, 2018.
- We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s), and a study book called Discover Canada on November 30, 2018.
- We started processing your application on December 5, 2018.
And the email I got is:

You've reached the next step in the Citizenship process. You have an upcoming appointment.
Read the attached letter closely for all the details about your appointment.
If your contact information has changed, it's very important that you notify us. Please
visit our website for instructions on updating your contact information.
If you need to reschedule your appointment you can

And the pdf file attached includes an appointment for March 26th, and they have asked me to take my documents for verification. The second page is a general guidance for taking test, but they don't mention anywhere that I should do the test on that date.
