If student not eligible to get pgwp do they still get 180days to apply for LMIA? Regular work permit?new school or do they still have 90days still?

Has to be done before the work permit application. LIMA is not a visa or a permit. You need to get a LMIA to apply for a closed ( regular ) work permit.

You need to have a valid study permit, no grace period is give.
If your study permit expires in 90 days, then shouldn't we leave the country before that? How does extend the PGWP deadline to 180 help?
You don't need to be in Canda to apply for a study permit, and you don't need to have a valid study permit to apply for a PGWP. If you apply with a valid study permit, then you get implied status till a decision is made on your PGWP.
If you don't qualify for a PGWP, your status expires 90 days after completion of studies.
My study permit expires 3 months after my program ends. This means I have to go to my home country before that right ?
So in order to apply for PGWP after 90 days, I should apply it from my home country ?
Tou can switch to visitor status before sp expires and then remain in Canada and apply for pgwp with visitor status.
However when you apply without a valid sp you are not allowed to work until the pgwp is actually granted.
You have to either change to visitor status or leave canada and apply from your home country. I don't know why you would want to delay your PGWP application since you get implied status as soon as you apply.
