Hi folks;

I am completely under pressure since I have my ceremony on Friday and I don't even see my PR card.
I called the call center they told me just go to the ceremony and explain that to the officer. They told me also that not having PR card at the ceremony for anything reason is not a problem at all since it is revoked right after the ceremony.
So, I would like to know what I have to do just to be safe?
For those who experienced that, what did you do?
I already filled the solemn form and I'll bring it to the ceremony.

Please your advices are welcome.
Thank you in advance.

Well, here at the Kitchener-ON office they told me that without the PR card no OATH ceremony for me. :(
I would like to keep the PR card as a reminder of the many efforts I have made to achieve my new status. :D

Did you lose your PR card?
I don't know where is mine and I can't reach by phone the local office, Ottawa.

The solemn declaration should be sufficient but you can also report the card lost directly to IRCC as well.

Replace a lost, stolen or destroyed PR card
You need to tell us what happened before you apply.

If you are outside Canada, go to the nearest visa office. Then you need to apply for a permanent resident travel document (PRTD) to return to Canada. When you are back in Canada, you can continue with your application.

If you are inside Canada, tell us what happened using this web form. To complete the form:

  1. Choose Tell us more then answer No and Proceed to Web form.
  2. Choose Permanent resident card and Renewal and replacement.
  3. Fill in your details.
Then continue with your application.

This, unfortunately, is NOT an option. You'll just have to take a photo of it instead.

My citizenship in process but PR card was stolen in Canada. I informed IRCC by web mail and made a police file. What’s the next steps I should do?

Some people say they lost it even if they didn’t lose it. In order to keep their Card,
No problem if you don’t have a card
