I believe that the passport have to be at least 6 month before expiration to get a visa stamped.Hi all,
Me and my spouse completed our medical tests in the first week of September 2018 and our AOR is 5th October 2018. Assuming that we receive our PPR this month, in ideal circumstances we are supposed to travel to Canada on or before 1st week of Sep 2019 (date of medical tests completion). However, my spouse passport is expiring on 5th July 2019. So will the single entry visa that we may receive will expire by 5th July 2019 itself? Also, can the PR be applicable if the passport is renewed? How does this process work?
I believe the passport needs to be valid for minimum 6 months at time of submission. So it is better to get the passport renewed nowHi all,

Thanks both. Do I need to notify CIC about thethe passp renewal? I expect the passport renewal to come through in 10 days and also expect my PPR to come through by this time. Since both will run in parallel, how to manage the situation?I believe the passport needs to be valid for minimum 6 months at time of submission. So it is better to get the passport renewed now

I guess I am in IP2 stage now.
I didn't receive any email for the update. I noticed it when I logged into my account this morning.
Well because most folks on this thread have a life other than pointlessly keep checking the forum anxiously and whining about things outside their control.Even the December Thread has more pages than this thread
Unlike in the past, these days getting PPR after RFRP tends to take several months.Hey guys. I’d like to ask. My AOR is Oct 7. On friday I’ve received RFPR request. Paid right away. Is there any general rule or anything like that, how long from paying rfpr fee you will get your ppr? I saw some people with aor october getting rfpr request and paying rfpr fee in december and still not received pr. Any ideas?
My AOR was on 8th October 2018.Congratulations! What AOR are you?
