Hi Everyone,
I am have lots of questions and this procedure for spousal sponsership is so time consuming and stressful. Here, I want to share my experience and questions that i have in my ongoing file. I came to canada as a student in aug 2015. Everything was fine i completed my studies for 2yrs and when i applied for my workpermit i got a rejection stating that i was out of status. My study permit had expired in april 2017 and i was unaware about the fact that you have to apply for restoration. I fell out of status unfortunately. I had again applied for a workpermit wid the letter of explanation still got rejection.
I consultated many lawyers skeed advise but by then i was already messed up. Luckily, i had my bf wid whom i got married. And applied for my spousal sponsership. He is a PR. We applied for my pr in april 2018. I got my AOR in may 2018. Got my medical in oct 2018. PCC in december 2018. But yet when i see in online tool for CIC i dont see any updated on sponser side it just says application received and also on applicant ´s column it shows in process. I called cic they say there processing my background check.
Also, suprizingly my husband got a call from cic where the lady ask us few questions based on the relationship questionaire. They questions were basic like where did my spouse meet me first and all. They questioned me tok. Luckily, that dat day we were together as my husband had to start late at work. So she interviewed me too. Really, confused and lost thinking that would they approve my application. I called cic too spoke to agent they said sometimes officers do call if they cannot verify somethings. They lady whom we spoke to also said that based on this questions the officer will decide and we will respond you back in weeks to months. Its almost been 11 months since my application is submitted. Cannot see a clear view of whats going on. I accidently fell out of status but my marriage is geniune. Can somebody tell me does ppl like me do get approval or not?

Hi 12 months is not over yet I knew someone interviewed by cic and after a month they got DM both sides so you are fine and every application is unique there are some got the approval less than a year but there some too takes a little bit longer but patient is best key
