Guys need some information-Do we have to carry exactly the same I’d that we used at the time of application? Or any valid Canadian I’d showing first name, last name, picture and date of birth works, please suggest.
Thanks

Hi...
My advise is always this:
Carry EVERYTHING with you. It won't make your bag heavier.
Seriously....if this was a job interview, would you be asking this question?
If you don't have a particular ID, take a copy of it along with you, and be ready to give a good, honest and transparent explanation as to why you don't have the original.
Also, if your application is peculiar in any way, go there with evidence to defend yourself eg. absences, frequent travels, change of provinces etc.
Just treat it as an interview for your dream job....you won't want to leave anything to chance.
You don't want to go there and hear them say "sorry, but we have to do a little more checks" or "sorry, but you have to send us this and this"
This may happen to just a tiny fraction of people....but to the person it happens to, its a 100% worry (if that person is like me that worries like hell over small tiny things...lol:):):))
So, I would treat this as I would an important interview.....isn't it an important interview??

Hi all,
My current passport covering my eligibility period mentioned in my application. I do not have my old passport which is beyond my eligibility period.
Do you think that will be an issue ?
The question in application form was clear that “Tell us about your passport covering your eligibility period”

Hey guys so I received the infamous cit 0520 form during my interview.
Here's what went down:

I moved from Alberta to Ontario 1.5 years ago but never switched out my driver's license or health card because I sold my car and stopped driving and I haven't been to a doctor in years so I never bothered with getting new ids (not the smartest move I know)

The officer wasn't pleased at all that I decided not to switch out my id's, later in the interview she asked me what I do. I'm self employed and that's what I told her. At that point she asked me to provide my income tax returns for the past 2 years and mentioned that once she receives them then she can process the file further.

During the interview it seemed that she wasn't satisfied that I was actually residing in Ontario.

I've sent her the docs and my tax papers clearly show my Ontario address.

What's your take, will I get a decision soon?

Reading this is kinda help me to digest positively what I witness today. Passed my test today scoring 18/20. I was called for 1-1 interview openly and presented all documentations. I have been unemployed within Canada but working as an offshore for an oil and gas company . The interviewer asked me about my finances and how much I pay for housing etc, he also asked if I get benefit and I told him No, that I can support myself and don't need benefit ,etc. He even asked me about my US trip which obviously was more that the 2 days recorded on my doc and he said he won't ask me to bring forward anything else and he thanked me for the Police fingerprint I submitted. However what bothers me precisely was he wrote some remark/comment down in the form while he ticked to satisfies that my doc has meant his demand by ticking the forms but asked me to sign on the form .Is this normal? is the usual way??I tried reading what he has remarked on the form before I sign it but I couldn't read his writing and it maybe even be written in french to ensure i don't read it before I signed lol. I panicked. He later said " Like every other people, if everything goes well I should be expecting an invitation for oat/ceremony in 4-6 weeks. But my question is " does it mean I have positively completed the last stage of the process" as he didn't ask me to provide any other anything? Please can anyone advise to soft my fears as since I finished the interview , I have been moody as I do not know what to expect .Thanks

Dont worry. I also dont have my old passport that is out of eligibility period. I only have my passports within the eligibility period. I dont think so that would be a problem

thanks for updating!
just some additional info: test passed: 19/20

interview was quick and smooth. officer checked my photo id, PR card and passports. and said that i should get oath invite by sept. 15 (which is when i signed application). she added that, this doesn't mean that it will take that long, that is the latest date. it can be much before that.

came across this page, hope everyone finds it helpful!

I was told the same thing as you were told during the interview. 2 weeks later, they sent me requesting additional documents “CIT 0520 form” which I must submit within 30 days

I haven’t submitted the docs yet. I just received the request a few days ago. The officer called me on the phone before sending the form .
