Starting March you will see a progress bar for your online application. The progress bar shows the time elapsed since we received your application. It will also give you an estimated completion date based on our latest estimated processing times.

I just received any email, I am sure you all might have received on your registered CIC mail id:

"Starting March 6, you will see a progress bar for your online application. The progress bar shows the time elapsed since we received your application. It will also give you an estimated completion date based on our latest estimated processing times."

My wife also just received the same email. Fingers crossed, hopefully we will be able to see more details rather than one line statements

Exactly but hoping the updated date will be a realistic one, not the dates based on 12 month processing timelines.

Yeah I saw that. That's good that they are finally updating the "old" site.

AND this is was kind of applicant's right to see at least what's going on??? What happened to file? They are so busy to answer every one so this progress bar will be very very helpful . We appropriate IRCC for introducing this

Agreed if it shows estimated time for all members file to conclude = 12 months from recvd date i;e say JULY 25 for us then whats the use

Singleman, I just saw that your BGC started even before the file is transferred to NDVO. Its strange and confusion. I just saw few cases on this forum recently where they received pre-arrival mail just after the BGC started

Received the same. I believe this feature is already there for PR applicants via Express Entry(not sponsorship). Heard few of my friends talking about this few weeks back.
Anyways, very useful option. Helps you make plans accordingly.

Thats why I always write DO NOT TRUST blindly on GCKEYS no its like started >>stopped>>file transfer decided
Realtime BGC is when NDVO starts in ECAS

Many more members have similar Gckeys update of this BGC started, "You do not need an interview" etc... and they may be excited to get PPR soon, but sadly this not 100% surety of above, specially when FILE moved to VO

Same case with myself too. BGC Started to Mississauga and file transferred to NDVO. Hope we will get an update this week or next week
