Send a CSE and ask for your VO. They will reply within 3 business days
I got a reply to my CSE saying that "Your application is currently being processed at the local office in Montreal, Quebec. The responsible office is currently verifying if your application meets the eligibility requirements under the immigration program for which you have applied"

Any idea if this is referring to CIO or Local Visa Office in Montreal? In the same request, they replied that my Background verifications are not in process yet.

Would you please let me know what exactly you asked? I asked two times and I always get a generic reply, lol.

There is no Centralized Intake Office in Montreal. So your application is processed at LVO Montreal

Hi, could you tell me what is CSE and how can I get a reply from CSE. I got AOR on 5th Dec. last year, I also want to know my CEC status.
I ordered GCMS notes last week but the feedback is going to be back one month later. How does CSE reply to you so quickly? Please advise.

I don't remember exactly, but something specific along the lines of, where is (or at which office) my application currently being processed at.

It's a Case Specific Enquiry you can submit for your application. You can ask questions and provide your application number or client identifier. Here is the link to submit:

Thanks. I wonder if it's based on my location. I live in North East US (NJ) so may be why it's sent to Montreal. From what I read on 250+ page long thread on Montreal Visa Office, I'm in for a long wait.

Thanks for your quick reply! As the website mentioned on the second rule, "
  • Your application has exceeded normal processing times. We will not respond to your enquiry if the application is within normal processing times."
So, the process time of us (mine is CEC, yours is FSW) are both 6 months, Why the agent replied to your inquiry?

Seems like it's definitely based on your location.

Montreal is probably the closest VO to NJ

Not sure about that. May be I can send them another CSE asking about that :). Jokes aside, I don't know how to answer this.

I guess you landed on a good agent. I just submitted a CSE and this is the message I got post submission . My application is under normal processing time as of now so I'm not going to expect a response, lol.

"
Your enquiry has been successfully submitted. We will get back to you with answers to your questions as soon as possible.

If your application is within normal processing times you will not receive a reply from Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada.

Thank You."

I agree with you. He may land on a kind agent, otherwise, there is no way to get the information. But I really wanna have a try to see what responses I am going to receive. ^_^
