Which two people? Sorry have been out of the loop here, more on what's app group, people messaging me at midnight :). Filling up FedEx seems to be most confusing for people
Sorry missed replying on this one. Don't want to alarm the new folks since this was probably a rare case (which happened with two people). So two of our friends who got PPR from Montreal couple of months back were waiting for their passports for at least a month after submitting it to Ottawa. So, I was just wondering what finally happened to those cases. May be @Adeife23 knows. @Adeife23 ?

I think they both eventually got it. I remember vividly that one reported that he got it. The other I vaguely remember.

It's taking longer than usual now. Mine took exactly 20 days from date of receipt by Ircc.
For those who have sent passport please see below for tracking, order by return tracker date. It will give an idea of timelines.

Hey Cansha,

I dont want to add more worrisome to the group but on WA group ~RS still waiting on this PPR email to be corrected, dont know if there is any update on that I think @Adeife23 could shed some lights on that. He was early Jan PPR but could not open his PPR email or message online.

Thanks

Hey guys... I got a new email yesterday straight from CIC. It said:

"There have been no updates to your application (WXXXXXXXXX) since you last checked your account. Thank you for your patience."

It was about my bridging open work permit, but I never received an email like this before. Surely a sign that my PPR is just around the corner right?

I mean, I'm 4 days away from completing my 7th month of waiting, so it can't possibly mean that this is just a meaningless email...

I don’t know whether there is a correlation there but if you’re an early August AOR you may get PPR soon.

Hi guys,

I've a question. I logged into CIC portal today and my Current status read as " Application/Profile Updated". I didn't see any updates under the application status though. Then I refresh the website after 5 mins and the status went back to "Submitted". Is this what a ghost update is or is it just a system glitch? Appreciate your response.

AOR -July 24th,
FSW-Inland

Thanks,
Gautham

Hi Pringles226. If this is for a bridging open work permit, this is just a regular email they send you especially if the processing time of your application is now more than 83 days based from here https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/application/check-processing-times.html

When I was applying for my open work permit extension last year, I got that update as the processing time exceeded. I received the approval for the extension after a few weeks. Fingers crossed that you'll get your bowp approved soon :)
