In March 2017, I got invitation of a conference at Toronto with travel+accommodation sponsorship.
I applied with these documents:
  1. Bank statements of three accounts in different banks approx PKR 0.9 million.
  2. Visiting Card of job as IT Manager at public sector/Govt organization
  3. Salary Slip of last month.
  4. Letter from employer that I am bound in contract of 1 year till Feb-2018 as IT Manager, monthly salary, and that employer has no objection on me to attend conference and that I will report back as on 00.00.2017 i.e., just after the conference.
  5. Birth certificates of my all 3 kids (age group 5-10 years) and marriage certificate as proof that I am married and my family ties are in Pak.
  6. Invitation letter from organizer
  7. Return ticket (confirmed flights as purchased from expedia.ca by the organizer)
  8. Prints of my profile as selected speaker form the online conference website
My visa was rejected reasons:
  • Travel History (I Visited ITALY & Dubai in 2004 and nothing else)
  • Personal Assets and financial status (Sr#1, 3 and 7 + I wrote in covering letter that travel and accommodation Expenses were born by conference organizer and bank statements)
  • Purpose of visit (Attached as mentioned in Sr# 6 above)
NOW this year again for the same annual conference i got invitation as speaker, how should I apply again for VISA? I am working at same organization and same designation.
  • Visited Saudi Arabia last year,
  • I have my own house since 2010 and last time no related document was attached as I thought that its not necessary as my sponsorship and bank balance is enough to sponsor this 2 weeks tour also here VFS global not accept property documents with visa application.
  • Visit purpose is same (Same conference, same community and same organizer)
PLEASE GUIDE WHAT SHOULD I DO? ALSO WHAT IS THE EFFECT OF THESE REJECTIONS?

1. Have you visited other visa-required countries (Italy, for example) for a similar purpose?

2. Have you been invited as a speaker for similar events in the GCC?

3. How would you and/or your employer benefit by you attending this conference? Is this conference in line with the work that you do?

4. Is this a genuine conference i.e. the organizers are internationally recognized?

Thanks @Bryanna for your response.
1) I visited Italy for training but in 2004 (long ago). I am not a frequent flyer
2) No, it was religious
3) Yes, its related to my current job and presentation is related to my current project as well. Further its beneficial for my career here in Pak.
4) Its an open source community and they conduct this event annually. Last time they provided the ticket and also accommodation. This time my proposal is accepted and further process is pending.
