Received confirmation our application was sent to our local VO today! We have MR and PA is going to do this next week (earliest appointment available). I was really surprised to get the application transferred before medical is passed, so I'm taking this as a positive sign...
Anyone know the average processing times for Sydney, Australia at the moment...?

Cross posting from the Jan group. Have a look at the link. Its usually that different combinations work for different people (sometimes it can be as small as you using all Caps for the details).

GCkey is notorious for not being able to link applications easily. There are various combinations of linking applications that work differently for different people. I’d say wait for a few days and link with the uci and application number (along with other details) and if it still doesnt link you can try different combinations like finding application via PA’s surname given name birth date place of stay etc. Keep trying different combinations. Also check this link out for anyone having issues with linking, may be a good read’

We got MR feb 19. It says on the letter pa needs to get it done with in 30 days. But now that he needs sputum and culture test done. It takes 2 months to get the results.
What do we have to do? Do we have to call cic and inform them about it?

It is better to be safe than sorry. You don't lose anything by calling IRCC though it is a painfully long waiting for the call through.

Okay thanks, im just so confused and upset when we found out. My husband never had tb or any other lung problem before. And yearly he did medical for work. No issues. We are just shocked that for some reason his xray came out alittle cloudy.

But our home is under renovation, maybe its from it, like the dust and dirty environment?!

I was reading from another forum that they received a letter for furtherance testing for sputum from ircc but we never gotten that email. And we dont think the clinic has sent his medical results yet. But the dr called him to book an appointment for a 3 day sputum test already.

I still haven’t recieved SA and it’s been two weeks since AOR... should I be worried? They requested a new passport last week and we sent it and they sent us an email stating they recieved it... could this be the cause for delay?

Hey Friends,

Our file was transferred to Sydney, Aus. Not what I was hoping for, as Sydney, Australia doesn't have the fastest reputation. I know it's still positive and just one more step in this long, annoying process.

Although being Canadian with a US citizen spouse, I had hoped for Mississauga. Our relationship is also pretty straightforward -- together for 6 years, living together in Canada for 4 of those 6. Although as @schweisy mentioned, the fact that we currently live abroad together might complicate things.

Oh well.

Out of curiousity -- do people count the letter from IRCC that the file was transferred as AOR2? Or will the VO in Australia send me another letter confirming receipt?

Our online status has shown "in process" for background check since our application was linked with AOR1, so that remains unchanged...

@CanAmAus hi,
My file was transferred to Warsaw visa office. And I got both AOR2 and email about file transfer.
My dates are:
Sydney, NS sent file to Warsaw - 12th Feb
Warsaw started processing on 22nd (in PA's ecas new line)
AOR2 sent by Warsaw - 25th
Email from CPC Sydney that file was transferred - 27th

So, I'd reccomend you to check PA's ecas for a new line (1 day delay) . If you have it, means your local VO received docs. And maybe AOR2 from Australia will not come..

I have to say congratulations for anyone who got their applications moving forward. It is better than "unknown" state even if it is a sort of slow VO. So congratulations!

Yes, that letter from IRCC saying your application was transferred to Sydney Australia VO is pre-AOR2, and once Sydney, Australia VO sends you that your application is in its office then it is an official AOR2.
