Well I just successfully called CIC about my file. After a 27 minute wait, they said that they don’t know much since the file is being processed in Paris.

They suggested that I email the Paris visa office directly but, apparently, there’s nothing wrong with our application, it’s just processed a bit slow. She told me that few files are processed under 12 months.

Tomorrow is going to be our one year anniversary with CIC.

We had a request letter sent to us about additional documents and passport for sponsor. I sent everything they asked for last week. Now just waiting for decision. Does anyone now how long it will take for them to respond? Our year is up in March 12

Our file is from February 21, 2018. I sent requested document on January 17th 2019 and a decision still has not been made. But some people had a document request on the same day and they have since received decision made.

Update, you can also UPS your passport to the Visa office. They will give you the address to mail it to in Algeirs. My husband preferred to submit in person but is having them UPS it back to his home address. He paid his fees in person too. It cost him 7 red papers. It’s the one that has 1000 dinar on it.

I advise that your husband go there in person and pay. 7000 dinar I think my husband paid for the fees. He will have the passport sent back to him through UPS.

Pre-arrival letter October 13
Background check started on January 16
New schedule A requested on January 17 and sent back the same day.

Hello are any of you Algerian applicants trying to put pressure your file with the political drama happening in Algeria? My hubby is currently in Algiers and hes saying the manifestions are really big and today there have been explosions and I dont like where this is going at all... im getting so much anxiety just thinking about him being over there ..
