May 2018 - Citizenship Applicants

The test was taken in Kelowna. The immigration officers come to Kelowna twice an year for the test& ceremony. They do not know when the next ceremony is going to be; therefore they gave us an option to expedite the process which is having the oath ceremony in Vancouver. If you choose not traveling down to Vancouver for the ceremony than you'll have to wait till the next time when the immigration officers come to Kelowna again, which may be in August or September, date has not been decided at this point.

My application was recd on 23th May 2018 and processing started on 16th Aug 2018. I am from Etobicoke (Toronto). I see some Toronto applicants in April still didn't get test invites. Any rough guess when I will be receiving test invite? Thanks.

I think GTA is the slowest. so have to be patient

I am from etobicoke also.app received 16april.process 11 July. Still waiting.I call them 1 time.send Webform 2 time.and I am waiting answer for the second Webform. ...

We both easily passed the exam today, although I of course recommend studying carefully (I personally see the value in it, as a future citizen).
Hopefully we are nearing the finishing line.

Why send a second application when your still in the 1 year time frame. I was told if after my one year mark, I haven't received a test date, they'll look further into it. Goo luck

We are in the Halifax Nova Scotia office ,still waiting for oath letter ,interview was on the 8 th January it’s taken till for decision to be made on ECAS
