You should put his SIN on your tax return as 000 000 000 and they will know that he doesn't have a SIN
But I think to declare him as a dependent though you do need a temporary tax number so you should file for it soon as it takes time, normally the temporary tax number should take a month or month and a half to get it while it takes longer if you filed with tax return
I filed for it separatly but got delayed so much due to missing documents and filed in the wrong time in April so make sure you file for it now
By the way it's only your husband that can't file online, you can still file online if you usually file online
You can call CRA too and double check

If I remember correctly, yes, the copies must be certified. I sent my docs for the temporary tax number last Monday. Waiting for their correspondence back.

He has been here for 7 months now, we have applied for a visitor extension while we are waiting for OWP approval.
One month is not too bad, we can still make it for this year then! Thank you for your help.

I dont know. My lawyer did that. I submited OWP with visitor extension on Oct 25. The visitor extension was approved yesterday. But the OWP have not thing. I submited the PR application on 30 Oct at Missauge, had a AOR and passed the MR.
