Do I have to maintain full-time student status after getting MNNP approved?

Hey,

So I came to Canada as an international student. Few years fast forward, my parents got their MPNP and me as a dependent (under 21) I got my MPNP approved as well. I still have 2 years of college left in order to complete my degree. Now my question is what's my status? Am I still required to go to school full-time to maintain my status or I can be a part-time student.

You can study part-time but would not be allowed to work.

Thanks for the prompt reply. As an international student you are allowed to work 20 hrs a week. So if i'm not allowed to work does that mean i'm no longer considered an international student?

You are still an international student.
You can work if you enroll as a full time student, not if you are part time.

Okay. Sorry but I'm still confused. As far as I know being an international student you are required to be a full time student to maintain your study permit/legal status in Canada. Correct me if I'm wrong, after getting MPNP approved, my status is still an international student and I can study part-time in fall/winter semester and still be maintaining my legal status in Canada.

Full-time versus part-time studies
The definition of full-time or part-time varies depending on the educational institution. A study permit may be issued whether or not the student’s studies are on a full-time or part-time basis (i.e., the condition that study permit holders must actively pursue studies does not require them to be enrolled on a full-time basis), as long as they are enrolled at a designated learning institution. However, the student must have a full-time status in order to work on or off campus.

You are still an international student. Full-time students can work. Part-time students can't.
