Spousal Sponsorship step parent issue

Hi All,

I am planning to sponsor my wife(outland stream). My wife has a step dad (due to her biological father being passed away) and her biological fathers name is in the birth certificate. While i was going through the forms for family class sponsorship for spouse visa, it says to fill out all the details of family members and what not.

I wanted to know if there are any concerns regarding showing step dad in the spouse visa/family class applications?

Also a bit more confused on IMM 0008 form.

Do we have to include the sponsored wife's family information under dependents (like parents and siblings)?

or do we have to include parents and sibling information of the sponsored wife in IMM 5406 and leave the dependents section in IMM 0008 form blank?

IMM0008 should only have the applicants dependents children if any........parents and siblings cannot be included in IMM0008 as dependents of the applicant.
Dependant
A spouse, common-law partner or dependent child of a permanent resident or principal applicant.
you need to provide parents and sibling and dependents information of the applicant in IMM5406

She must list her legal father. Unless the step-father adopted her, that would be her biological father.

On November I have applied for tourist visa and got denied. In my family information, I put my step father's name as my father. Now that I am planning to apply for PR, I dont know whether I should put my step father or my biological father's name on my application??

I don't really know my biological father since my mom got divorced literally when I was just born and I only had contacted him twice during my 22 years of my life. My step father is the one who raised me since I was 9 until now.

You need to list your legal father. Unless your stepfather adopted you, that is your biological father. Include a letter of explanation with your PR app regarding the discrepancy.

Yes, you list your bio father and include a letter.
