Hello Everyone. I have a confusion regarding working hours and I am not sure if this the right forum to post? Anyone can help if I am allowed to work more than 20 hours a week if I am in my last semester and I have only one course to finish my degree?
Or, I still have to follow that 20 hours a week rule?

Yes, if you applied before 25 Jan 2019 and can continue to work as well.

thx for replying this means we do not need valid study permit to stay in canada if we apply before our study permit expires

If you are in your last semester of studies, you still need to follow the 20 hour rule. The moment you apply for PGWP after your graduation, you can start working whatever hours you want to. Hope that helps

No idea about TRV. I think they’re working on November PGWP applications, so I wouldn’t expect any news for January applicants soon.
I applied in December, I’ll let you know whenever I get any updates.

But there wasn’t any request for passport submission , I applied from Canada itself.

Is it not required for stamping work permit ? Any idea guys ?

No, the permit is a piece of paper, you don’t get it in your passport. They send it to the address you provided in your application.

Hay guys, I got my work permit approval email today ..march 30th.
I studied 1 year graduate certificate and a normal trade certificate(i extended my study permit for this) and got the permit for 3 years.
My name was given twice on work permit(like steyn smith steyn smith) as i have given the name again on the last name, because i don't have a last name on passport.Do u guys know how to change name on it?Hope it won't create any problems in future
I took a 3 months break between courses and did not worked on sin.

I did B.tch(ECE),Mba(Marketing&IT) in India.
Matrix college, Montreal offers me Global supply chain management program (1 year),i wanted to ask that in 2nd year can i pursue computer programmer/ Science course. Does Visa officer check the relevancy of program while extending study permit or at the time of Post Study Work Permit.

Maybe that’s for the TRV (temporary resident visa)?
