HI! Application received on Dec 10 and on ecas it says that our application is started processing on feb 7. How long will i take to receive our AOR. PA from Philippines with 6months old dependent.

I have some concern, on ecas my baby’s middle name is incorrect it was Hayes instead of Mayes. What will i do about it?

Hi,
I have the most basic question. The outland spousal sponsorship was received by CIC on February 8, 2019. My spouse is presently in India. How much time approximately it will take for the application to process although the average processing time is 1 year.

Some people tell me 4 months and some 8 months. I was reading some threads and they say file is processed faster if it is transferred to Mississauga then Delhi. What does that mean
I am sorry but you are asking a question that no one here can answer accurately and reliably. It is beyond our control. If average processing time is one year, then you would expect that your application will take approximately one year. 4 month would be very special case. 8 month is possible though. This is a waiting game that you need to set up your expectation correspondingly so you don't stress out too much. Good luck!

Check the official timeline posted by IRCC here:

Got AOR on Jan 09

Was able to look in ECAS and I tried link but couldn't.
Congratulations! I waited for 3 days before I can link to my GCKey account. Make sure to include yourself (if you are the sponsor) in the total number of applicants when you link.

Hello Everyone. My wife and I have applied from the UK (She is the Canadian Sponsor). Here's our timeline so far;

Application sent - 05/12/18
Application received - 10/12/18
Notification of receipt - 09/02/19
Request for further info from me (Police checks) - 09/02/19
Application linked - 10/02/119
Request for Biometrics - 10/02/19
Decision made on application to sponsor - 11/02/19

Does anyone know if the decision to sponsor is sent via mail only as the actual decision does not appear on the online account, only a message to say that the decision has been made?

Thanks,
Kris

In my case (sponsor and representative for the applicant), it was an email from IRCC so I think it would be the standard procedure if you leave your (or your representative's) email with IRCC. Otherwise, they would send the snail mail I guess.

Another tip for you, you can only try to link your application up to 5 times per 24 hours before your account is locked out for linking...so don't use up your quota. lol
