Hello All,

I have created an EE profile and under the job offers, I have listed down the details of my current job.

The requirement for full time work experience is 30 hours per week and 1560 hours of work in a year. I am in my 11th month of the job (and also 11th month in Canada), and the total number of hours worked are more than 1650 as my weekly hours are 37.5.

On my application, can I say that I have been on my job for a year based on the total number of hours, even though I am in my 11th month but I have crossed the number of 1560 hours? Or should I say "Yes" to this question about completing a year on a job in Canada only after I have completed a calendar year.

Thanks & Regards,
Raj

You should say "no" until you have 52 weeks of work experience.

Thanks for the response! Just confirming that the answer is "no" even though I have required number of hours?
You MUST have 52 weeks of work experience under any circumstance. Doesn't matter how many additional hours you worked - they can never be used to compensate for a shorter overall working period.

Hello All,

No. "Counting hours" is only for part-time workers; by definition, it will take them longer than a year to work enough hours to meet the full-time equivalent definition. Since you work full-time, you do not count hours; you just need to work a MINIMUM of a year (52 weeks).

Or should I say "Yes" to this question about completing a year on a job in Canada only after I have completed a calendar year.
Yes.

As long as you didnt submit your application yet then you can answer YES, just dont submit the application only after you complete one whole year! simple...

So simple it's incorrect. I'm not sure if the OP is talking about the profile or the application, but in any case, they have to have completed one year at the time of the ITA. That is simple.

my pay slip shows 86.67 Hrs for 15 days and same for remaining 15 days in a month so how much time is calculated for a month
It sounds like you are a salaried worker, is that true? If you are paid a salary (as opposed to an hourly wage), then the number of hours you work per week is what your employer states in your letter of reference. Paystubs are not required. Time is calculated by the # of weeks you work, if you are a full-time employee.

and secondly my work extends from Apr 2016 to Feb 2019 will i be eligible for CEC as this feb completes my 1 Yr Canidian Work experience
??? Sorry, is this a trick question?

As noted above, you will not be eligible until Feb 2020 under the CEC class.

However, you are likely currently eligible under the FSW class. What kind of work permit do you have (intra-company transfer or LMIA-approved temporary work permit, or...?)

Not sure what you are asking... Above you stated February, now it is January?

Your start date is the day you started working, as indicated by your employer's letter of reference.

If you are asking about a partial week worked, you can count it as a full-time week if you work 30 or more hours (regardless of the number of days worked). Otherwise, it is a part-time week. You need to complete a MINIMUM of 52 full-time weeks.

i got salary slip of jan 2019 with 30.67 hrs of work, its a bimonthly slip so it should count as two weaks right

if it counts as 2 weaks i get candian experience of 51 weaks 1600+Hrs
