July 19, 2018 correspondence of receipt
August 16, 2018 processed
November 19, 2018. Finger print correspondence
November 28, 2018 -Saw the email.. went and got it done and sent mailed it.
December 11,2018 - I called CIC, agent confirm it was received and that "everything looked good"
January 30, 2019 -called agent confirmed "everything looks great, just waiting on test centre for a test date."

I just received the email for the Oath Ceremony now. The date of the ceremony is March 7, 2019.

So Called CIC today - I was told there are some more steps in background check to be completed BUT they still can call you for a test you should start preparing ... this is annoying... first, I been hearing conflicting info since couple of months as some agents say its complete just wait for a test and this time, they said no its not complete ... any thoughts ?

Something to add - I got my PR renewed in January 2018- aren't these checks done before issuing a new PR ?

I have read on many threads here that both processes are completely different and managed by separate teams

Citizinship process completed on the 5th of February in Calgary.
It was a nice day to finally say...... yes I am a Canadian now.

I’m in new glasgow n s ,had interview on 8th Jan in Halifax and was told all good and expect oath this month or March ,ECAS still saying in process

My ATIP came in.. Hardly any notes, but it sounds like it's in Halifax waiting for a test day... So nothing that I didn't already figure ..

Sounds like we are both at some stage, if they wait any longer sydney test center will be open lol

I meant the file is in Halifax IRCC , that's what I get for posting at night . I really thought we would at least have our notice if not the test by January.. I wonder where in CB the oath will be? (Probably on Canada Day at this rate..)
