my usa husband wants to travel to visit me in canada for 6 months. Hes worried that because he doesnt have 12k in savings that he will be denied the visit at the boarder. He was wondering if he could use 401k as proof that he can support himself here incase of emergency? I will be supporting him but i wont be with him wen hes goin thru customs. He also wanted to use 401k savings for proof wen applying for extension if our sponsorship application isnt approved in time.
Can we use 401k?
