Hi All,

I have one question that i need help please from anyone.

My wife is a Canadian and I applied for Spouse PR sponsorship and it got approved. While me and my wife are living outside Canada.

Now i have to enter Canada in order to get my PR.

Can i enter Canada alone without my wife ( Since she sponsored me from beginning) ?!

What are the steps that i will do when i enter Canada to get and receive my PR. ?!!

I assume this was an outland application? I do not know much but from what I have gathered in this forum is that It is not Mandatory to land with your spouse (the sponsor) though she may accompany you.

You need to have your CoPR as well as your passport. Then you would land at the port of entry of your choice I suppose, you will inform them that you are landing for PR. You will be asked several questions.

They will need an address (in Canada) where they can mail your PR card to you.

You can apply for you SIN same day (if you landed on a weekday) or some other time (Your COPR expires in 12 months....you can also use your PR card to apply for SIN once you get it)

When you applied did you mentione you and your spouse live outside Canada? If not it might be a problem,
I dont know the answer to your question but just a thought...

Yes of course i already mentioned that both of us are living outside Canada. There is a different application and different process for this.

Well then you had to prove that the two of you are planning to live in Canada. If you land alone they might suspect that you`ll go back home after landing and wont stay in Canada or that you came to live in Canada without your wife.Id consult an expert to make sure you wont have problems on landing or find a way to prove that your wife is returning to Canada soon (If shell come back to Canada before you then i assume its all fine)
