Once the file is available in CAS, it will not just disappear by itself and cannot be "cannot be found" -:)

I called CIC today, unfortunately they said they have returned my application even if I've already recieved an AOR. Do you guys know if i'll start from the end queu again when i resubmit it or i just need to send it back coz they already gave me an application number(AOR)?

Oh, my goodness. I am so sorry to hear that. :-( I asked the question that after AOR is received if it would be possible that application would be still returned and they said no. (https://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/threads/spousal-sponsorship.46995/page-2065). Did CIC tell you why they returned your application?

Ohh nooo

I believe if they return your application then it starts all over like from the beginning. That’s what one of the agent said when I called them and asked what happenes in a situation like that... but triple check with others and also call CiC and ask.. sometimes online websites are confusing so it’s best to speak to a person that can give you straight answer. Good luck with the rest!!!

Also, if you don’t mind me asking.. did they mention why they returned it ?

Because I have a feeling they’ll return mine aswell because I did the application myself and didn’t check it with anyone now I regret not checking ng with anyone :(. Ugh I’m sooo Nervous

I am still waiting form my documents, they said they have sent it feb.01. I hipe it will come soon so i'll know what went wrong. It was so frustrating and sad, but you know it's not he end of the world

Yeah try not to stress to much over it just re-do it and correct the mistake. At the end of the day I feel like everything happens for a reason. So stay positive!! Good luck!!
If you don’t mind.. please do let us know what the mistake was..

So they did not tell you what went wrong over the phone. I hope you get it soon and find out. Best wishes.

No, the rep said they have attached a letter stating why it was returned. Do i need to re-do the entire application bacause of new forms, plus biometrics?

It’s always best to use the newest form and send what they ask for to prevent the return of the application again .
So just use the updated form and check everything over again and see if there’s anything new because it’s insane! They update and change things literally every month... that’s what I have noticed.. good luck!!!

yes, it is safe to user newer forms. And there won't be the whole application since not many forms are updated. But I believe they would state what you need to do in the letter.
