I have a question. When do they start criminality check? Is it after eligibility is passed or is it checked at the same time with eligibility?
Criminality runs concurrently with Eligibility....It is just a verification of the Police Clearances you provided....

So it means that you can't assume that your eligibility is met even if your criminality is valid or passed?
true...Some people have criminality passed within 10-15 days after MEP, others keep waiting until after eligibility....It all depends on the country PCC is from as well....some countries are quick to respond to verification others not so quick...

My online profile says "We are processing your background check." No update since first week of December. Don't know if my eligibility is met as I have not ordered GCMS notes. I sent an enquiry using the web form and this was their response:

Thank you for contacting Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).

The initial assessment to ensure your application is complete has been finalized. Following this assessment, your application was transferred to the Case Processing Centre in Ottawa, Ontario (CPC-O). The office will contact you if they need other documents from you.

The background verifications are currently valid for criminality and have not been initiated for security yet. The medical examination results on file are valid.

Furthermore, if you would like to contact the responsible office directly in the future, you may find the contact information for the CPC-O on our website.

We hope the information provided is helpful in assisting you with your enquiry.

I feel very anxious now. Hoping we receive the golden email soon.

Where you able to change your primary NOC post AOR?
I do not attempt to change it again. I just did letter of explanation on my present noc. I actually qualify for 2 noc.
I have review required on my eligibility as I do not submit my job function with my application. Though submitted now. So, agonizingly waiting on their decision

Oh man security takes ages....but be glad you cleared the major hurdle of eligibility....
Unless you have anything adverse in your Security, just chill and enjoy your home country....PPR will come any day....

Yeah I am glad the eligibility got cleared without any concerns or red flags.

They are increasing the number of ITAs with time while the call centre agents and case officers/analysts remain the same in number. Just assuming considering the delays and comparison with 2017 where 80% applications got approved in 4 months

I ordered GCMS notes in Dec and got them in Jan
My eligibility and criminality was 'passed' on 6th Nov by case officer and Security in process since then

When I spoke to an agent in the first week of Jan, she was quite positive and said my case should be approved within 6 months timeline as I am going at the right pace. I have been checking my emails all the time since then.

Now I speak to this lady when I have 23 days to go and shes like...expect PPR roughly by April.

Or maybe they don't want us to keep calling them which is why she gave me 2 months additional time

In your sister's case, I just hope things get done soon. We are seeing PPRs within 5 months which obviously means that all security checks don't take too long. I'm not sure if a good travel history matters. I have a good travel history.
So your security is still ongoing? Are you sure it started since November? I mean was it written in your GCMS?

Not mentioned in GCMS notes but I confirmed with 2 agents and both said security started in Nov and is still in process

No I haven't seen a refusal without a procedural fairness letter.
I wouldn't worry so much about it because even if it raises any concerns, you'll be given the opportunity to explain yourself and not outrightly refused.
How did you find out y6iur eligibility was passed btw? I believe the GCMS notes can indicate which of the documents (or if both) is on file. You may order the notes.
@tobs just heard of this procedural fairness letter. So before refusal, someone can still explain him or her self as last chance? That gives hope. Kindly shed more light. I beg yawn me the tori :D:D:D pardon my vernacular

Same here, 2 agents told me that my security started mid December but I have ordered GCMS to confirm, I should receive them in 2 weeks.
If it is true that security has started I wonder why it is taking that long :(

@tobs I have written before also but I have few more things to add on here- my AOR 3rd Aug Outland USA, Indian Citizen, still in IP1, I forgot to mention my Job duties in experience letter, I sent that through IRCC form about a month ago. Now after exploring more I see even though my job duties corresponds to the NOC 0213, I applied against. But I think my job duties corresponds more towards NOC 2171. Today I submitted LOE and all my work experience with job duties again. What do you think will be the possible outcome here?? Will they change my NOC or as mentioned they count my experience with Job duties against the NOC applied while submitting, etc??
I don't think you should have sent another job duties letter a second time. Order the notes let's see what the analyst remark is.

Yes after the completeness check (R10), any issues with the application (or lack of clarity) will result in a PFL before refusal. But incomplete documents before R10 as well as misrepresentation is enough reason for rejection/outright refusal.

The status that you received through CSE is a positive one and does not bear any reflections of anything that should bother you. Did you order GCMS ?
