Some info about the mysterious PReVU in GCMS:
I raised a CSE back in Dec. and for the first time, they didn't send me a template response. This is the response:
You will find below useful information that we hope will help understand the process and current status of your permanent residence application under the Canadian Experience Class.
- The initial assessment to ensure your application is complete has been finalized on July 10, 2018. Following this assessment, your application was transferred to the Ottawa, Canada office. The office will contact you if they need other documents from you.
- We can confirm that the CV/Resume has been received by the responsible office on November 22, 2018.
- The background verifications are currently in process.
First of all, the person exactly told me the date and the type of my ADR, which shows s/he looked at my profile, so I tend to trust their info more than the template ones.
Second, the background verification was a sign that I was under SS, as by then I knew I had passed eligibility and criminality.
Third, "the initial assessment to ensure your application is complete has been finalized on July 10". The only place in my GCMS notes that has some info on July 10th was my PReVU. In fact, the case analyst set recommended pass A11.2 on June 7th. On July 10th around midnight, PReVU was verified. On Oct. 12th, they passed my R10 Criminality. Finally, mid Nov., SS started.
All in all, it seems to me that PReVU has nothing to do with SS as for me it was verified long before SS. However, I don't know if it is part of eligibility (since the case analyst was mentioning the initial assessment for completeness) or if it is part of criminality as it was done after A11.2 recommended pass. Also, as it was done around midnight, I think it is something simple like verifying information against a database (reference: legalfalcon) that is done automatically.
@legalfalcon Please shed us some light on this topic of you have more info.
